I HATE FED EX VENT!!!!!!!!!
OKay..so I have been waiting for copies of my birth certificate, and FH birth certificate..(LONG STORY HOW WE LOST BOTH!!) We need these certificates so we can get our marriage license. Well Fed Ex has had them for a week. I have called a zillion times, each time being promised that the station will call me back with a n approximate window that the package will be delivered...never once do I get a call. Then I finally make the arrangement to stay home friday to wait and sign for this darn package. Well guess what they put it on the truck today anyway, and since it's their third delivery try, they will not do a fourth. The tracking in the computer said it would be at my house at 4:30, so I planned on going home, h owveer they delivered at 10am instead. Now I call the station tell them to HOLD it, I will just come get it tomorrow morning, and please promise not to put it on the truck tomorrow.
ALl I get is "we can't guarentee that"
So they can't guarentee that they won't put it on the truck, and they won't say that they will do a fourth delivery attempt.
I just want to scream, they are no help...and just Lie to keep you appeased for the moment!!
Sorry this is sooo long, I just need to VENTTTTT!!! AHHHH

Re: I HATE FED EX VENT!!!!!!!!!
I have had my fare share of run in's with FedEx. My suggestion is to ask to speak to a supervisior and start of nicely and everytime they tell you no get increasingly more loud and say that it is not an acceptable answer. I have been able to change their no to a yes many many many times. Good luck!

If worse comes to worse, you don't need a birth certificate in Manhattan or Brooklyn to get the license...

Re: I HATE FED EX VENT!!!!!!!!!
I hate UPS! The guy keeps coming at 1pm. Don't they know that people work? I called them and asked if they could have the driver come after 3:30 and they said that they don't do that. And if they try to deliver again and I'm not home then I have five days to pick it up. What's the point of paying for shipping if they don't ship it to. Long story short, I understand your frustration!!!

Re: I HATE FED EX VENT!!!!!!!!!
I deal with it every holiday since I'm an online shopper and ugh!!! My sister used to work for UPS so she knows how the system works. She's told me to find the local number and call them directly. Explain the lack of customer service you recieve and they totally help you out! She said if you can talk to them the right way even though their office closes at like 5pm (hello we're at work till then) the drivers don't come back till like 7pm and you can just ask that they hold it to the side so you can pick it up after work. They always seem to do it for her cause she knows the system.

Amen! Go directly to the Supervisor... throw in that you've never had this problem with UPS (even if it's a lie), and the words, "That is UNacceptable" (said with force and repeated as many times as it takes) are VERY powerful. Remind them that you did everything in YOUR power to accomodate the schedule they posted for your tracking number, and it is NOT your fault that they misLED you with the information online. Ughh... the NERVE!
