Re: SPRAY TAN

I read a few reviews on here, and a couple of the girlsloved it, until it wore off on their dress, specifically underneath the arms. Sweat I guess. I wanted to do it really bad. I'm still torn, but I can't think of a more horrible thing to happen than having brown underarms on my gown. I think I'm just going to start tanning 2 months before my wedding, so I don't have to worry about this.

Re: SPRAY TAN

I got it done this past summer for my sister's wedding. I used Mystic Tan and I was a little orange, but since I had done it a week before I didn't look that bad for the wedding. You can be a little streaky too.

Re: SPRAY TAN

anybody do airbrush? I've heard good things about that too - but I don't want it to rub off on my dress. I think I would cry if that happened!

Re: SPRAY TAN

I've done the Mystic tan and the instant tan from Hollywood tans. They're the same general concept with different deliveries.
If you are interested I would give it a try now. Don't wait until the week of your wedding to try it as that color could rub off and you don't know how long it will last. But I liked it and used to do it all the time (now I just don't care that I'm pasty)

Re: SPRAY TAN

I love it and did it alot last summer, but would not do it for the wedding.

It can be uneven depending on how good you blend it, and it definitey comes off on your clothes for the first two days especially if your sweating.

Go with the traditional tan.

Re: SPRAY TAN

I wouldn't do the spray tan at Hollywood Tan because there's a high likelihood that it can be uneven and/or come off. I've done these myself and ruined a new white shirt in the process.

I would recommend airbrush tanning instead, where a technician actually applies the tanning stuff to your body and smooths it out for you. They can also do crazy things like "sculpt" your arms to make them look thinner. I had this done with one of my friends at Paul Labrecque in NYC (not for my wedding) and I had great results. The color was instant and it lasted for 5 days (stronger during the first 3 days though). Hope this helps

Re: SPRAY TAN

I had the spray tan done for my wedding...I went to Polished Spa in Sayville and had someone spray it on me...I would not suggest going into a booth because I did it once and it came out uneven...I went 2 times because the lady was able to even everything out the second time I went...I loved it!!!

Re: SPRAY TAN

I did the Mystic tan, and have mixed feelings about it. The first time I did it, it was GREAT!!! I got tons of compliments on how tan I looked. I went back a week later to get darker, and after a day or two...it started peeling off WEIRDly!! It looked gross. Also...if you don't put enough of the cream on your hands and feet, they become real dark and discolored.
I went a third time a year later to try again, and didn't like it at all.
And the smell is a little hard to take...as you can't shower for hours afterwards.
If you want to try it, I recommend going waaaaaaaay before your wedding as a trial! What have you got to lose, it works differently for everyone, and it may work out great for you!!

Re: SPRAY TAN

I wouldn't do it. It does come off and it will wind up coming off a on your white dress which you don't want stained.

My cousin goes spray tanning. She looks orange and sometimes the color looks spotty on her arms.

I did airbrush (stood partically naked in front of someone while they sprayed in on)...I didn't like it at all...a bunch of us did it for a friends wedding..we all looked like oranges...we all have different skin tones and not one of us looked normal...most of us we wearing dark dresses so our dresses were fine but the few that wore light colot dresses ruined their dresses...when we started fading we looked like idiots...all flakey and spotty...talk about over using your loofah...I would NOT recommend this...esp for your wedding...not worth the money...IMO if you want a little tan for your wedding either tan via the sun or a tanning bed...stay away from this stuff
