Repost from LIF - Kitchen Counter Stools/Chairs
So we have a HUGE, HUGE kitchen, but there's a tremendous center island, so there's really no room to put a kitchen table. I have been looking high and low for counter stools to put around the island. (preferably with a back to them), so we can at least eat our meals in the kitchen instead of using our formal dining room for everything.
Anyone have any suggestions on where I can look? I would think it would be easier to find these chairs than this. It's driving me crazy!!

Have you tried Fortune Dinette on Old Country Rd. Also, Fortunoff carries them and I believe Ikea too. Lost of places that sell dining room sets will have them.

Lowes actually has a decent selection.
We got our bar stools at Bed Bath and Beyond:

Crate and Barrel has some really nice high barstools. They're kind of expensive though - good thing we only needed two for our kitchen!
