guess what i ordered today!!!
A retainer!!! Yes, I went to the orthodontist and got fit for a retainer!!!  I had braces when I was younger (15 yrs ago) and ever since I had my upper wisdom teeth pulled my space opened up between my front two teeth...I swear I was starting to look like Madonna!! So, I went back to my orthodontist who now has a family and has aged since my old visit in 1990 and I got fit!!!
I am happy my teeth will look nice for the big day, but it will be costing me 750 bucks!!

yay! Good Choice. I'm doing invisalign. I had braces 12 years ago, then my wisdom teeth came in and squished my 4 front teeth. so now I need to fix them again. My insurance covers most so it will be about 600 dollars. I just hope my teeth are straight by my wedding date

I know the feeling! My front teeth were crooked too, and I got them capped and a porcelin veneer to have a pretty smile for the day when I hope to be smiling from ear to ear all day. It cost a little bit, but it's worth how happy I feel right now. Enjoy! :)

ME TOO!! I started to wear my retainer again because my teeth started to shift.

Atleast your teeth will look perfect on your big day!
I got my braces taken off not too long ago... it was so embarrasing walking around with braces .. i wish i got them when i was younger.
now i wear retainers at night.. but it was def. worth getting them.

I think that is great... it is unfortunate that we all suffer in our teenage years with braces only to have our teeth move and end up with something else again. My bottom teeth still shift and I have comtemplated doing something about it but everything is so expensive.

I've been thinking of doing that too! I was looking into invisalign, but I already had braces, so my teeth barely need to be moved. Are you wearing the retainer 24 hours a day or just at night?

He said that I would have to wear it as much as possible the first 3-weeks in order for the space to close and then i think at night..I told him that I work in a HS and the thought of walking around with a retainer was bit humiliating, so he said I can remove it from work during that three week period!
he did suggest going to a dentist after the space closes and getting a splint that would connect the front two teeth from behind. I have to look more into that and see what it intails.
