we can't go out to dinner because we're in saving mode so FH volunteered to cook us dinner (steak and mashed potatoes lol - it's the only thing he's capable of making). I'm so excited to watch him cook because he's never cooked a meal in his life so this should be interesting

We will not do anything, but on the 15th is FH's Christmas Party that was postponed because of the MTA strike so we'll have valentines dinner on his boss.

Okay, that is nice. Where will you guys have dinner at? I am thinking of doing dinner at The Manhattan Ocean Club which is quite romantic. I really do not want to do too much since the following day we have to work.

My FI usual does awesome things for me on Valentines day, but this year he will be away on business so I'm a little sad. We are going on a cruise 5 days after valentines though, so maybe he will make it up to me on the cruise

Every year FH and I switch off cooking dinner and dessert. I'll cook dinner and He'll make dessert one year and the next year we switch. This year is his year to cook dinner so we will be at his house. Not sure about gifts. I am trying to cut them out since we have to save $$! Plus it is a crazy time of year for us since it was just Christmas, last week was our anniversay, then vday then March is my bday! $ just flies out the door!  We already cut out anniversay presents a few years ago (we just go to a nice dinner) so we might cut out vday gifts also.
