Have you been in contact with your hall since signing contract?

I know we are all 07' brides but I was wondering if you have been in contact with your wedding halls after signing the contract and if they have been good about getting back to you. I have emailed the person I am dealing with at my hall three times to ask about hotels (which he said he would call, but hasn't) He emailed me back right away to give me numbers and then I emailed him twice after that to see if he was going to call the hotesl like he said and he never returned my emails ( this was the week after xmas so I gave him the benefit of doubt) Then this past weekend I called to once again ask about hotels. He did call me back and then after visiting hotels I had more questions for him and I emailed him and he never got back to me.
I would like to know if your halls are good about getting back to you or this is normal?
I know my wedding is not for awhile, but come on I'm spending close to 30K and they can't return a simple email. What would you do? Am I being to demanding?

I think that they may be very busy booking dates right now, but I think it's fair to give them one full day to get back to you. If it takees longer than that, I would bring it to their attention.

Fox Hollow has a wedding planning service that you can call. It is located at the Hall. I have called them a few times with questions. I have also been in contact with The Inn at Fox Hollow. But not the Hall it self.

I've been in contact with my hall, and they always take my calls. I had questions regarding my vendors and extras from my DJ etc, and they were great.

Probably a couple of times.. nothing major though.

My hall is very good at getting back to me when I leave a message. I also get stuff in the mail about upcoming events there, and all their vendors have contacted me.

I'd be PO'd if I were you!!!! I would march my a@@ right down there!!!!! They sure get in touch with ya real quick when they want $$$$$$.

I think that they are probably dealing with upcoming weddings first before 2007 weddings. I hate when they dont get back to you. My old hall was like that. I would ask him what the best way for you two to communicate is. I am in event planning and I always recommend a client email me once a month will all the questions they have rather one at a time.

I dont think my place would call hotels for me. Is that maybe out of their scope of service?

I haven't had an issue with my hall. They have been calling me back if I call them.

My hall has been really good at getting back to me, even when I'm annoying and stalk them (happened more in the beginning).

On a separate note, I went to a wedding in Sept at the Rockleigh and the hotel they used was the Woodcliff Lake Hilton. It was nice but, our shuttle bus used the long way to get there. Other hotels in the area are the Park Ridge Marriott, the Pearl River Hilton and the Holiday Inn Orangeburg.

I msut be a slacker completely... I haven't called them at ALL about anything. I figure they have my deposit and it's over a year away, so what's to worry about? Or maybe I am missing something?

our hall was great getting back to us. First we had a few other questions and they call back and answered them all. Then we wanted to change the date and they said no problem just come in and we will take care of it.

First you are not demanding, you want to get what you pay for and that includes being able to ask and call whatever you want. If i were you I would be very angry, they should def be getting in touch with you esp. if you are spending 30k. My hall has given me no problems. My banquet manager calls me back anytime I call

Thanks girls for the advice. I have been emailing more than calling, so I will see if a phone call gets me somewhere. If not, I am going to get very pissed!!
