NWR: Jury Duty
I have never been summoned for jury duty, but then got a notice saying a was a standby caller for jury duty and had to start calling jan. 20th. it said for first time postponing you can do it over the phone.
so i called and postponed for up to 6 months. i know because i'm still a student(parttime grad. student and work fulltime for the university) i can postpone but they want a letter from the school mailed to them and i don't want to take the chance that it won't get there by this friday.
now that i called and postponed by phone through the automated system. do i still need to call friday or because i postponed i dont have to worry about it for another 6 months?

No, because you postponed it you do not have to worry about it for another six months. But when the six months comes--do it! That way you are not getting called around your wedding!! OMG could you imagine?! Good Luck... when you do go, just say you know the person on trial OR you think everyone is guilty lol and they will let you go home!!
