I got Fh tickets to Spamalot for xmas and it;s the weekend after V-day, so we'll go out to dinner beforehand. We decided no gifts, just cards. I hope he sticks to it. Actually I'm knitting him a scarf, but don't tell (shhhh)...

One V_day we ordered in italian and had a picnic in the living room by the fireplace. It was really romantic and a lot of fun.

We are doing a NYC Dinner Cruise...one of the yachts we looked at for our reception gave us free tickets to attend a Valentine's Dinner Cruise...and we are psyched about it!!

My FI had our first date on Valentine's day back in 1997, so since it's kind of a special day for us so
we usually do something nice. The usual romantic dinner and all that jazz. But no flowers. The one thing I always tell him is that he is not allowed to buy me over priced flowers. Paying $75 for a dozen roses that you can get for $10 any other time of the year is just crazy. Buy me a sweater instead!

I'll be too busy throwing up, to bother going out, LOL...3 days before my wedding!! YIKES!

I have a business meeting that night....but whatever we have to do to celebrate, it's gotta be low budget!!!!!

i asked my dh what the day means to him. he said its a day that hallmark makes money. its like mothers day and fathers day. u should show the person how u feel throughout the yr not just on the holiday

that is exactly the way that FH and I feel. Especially as he works p/t for a greeting card company

I am ta-ing a class that meets until 9:40 which brings me home around 10:40 at the earliest sooo probably nothing but relaxing with DH when I get home, we usually celebrate it on a different day to avoid the craziness!!

Most likely DH will cook for me my favorite I have no desire to go out to dinner for V-Day and celebrate w/ like a zillion other couples.........everything seems so scheduled and routine--they try to get you in then out ASAP to fill their reservations.

I hate to be rushed! This is a day I would love nothing more than to be in my own home w/ just hubbie and me.

Not sure.

I want to make it extra special b/c I didn't do much for the holidays this year. He works in the city and I would love to meet him there, have dinner and take the train home w/ him. But all the restaurants will be crowded, and he always prefers to get out of the city then go out at home.

I want to buy him a bunch of little things, plus one big gift. I was cutting back on the little cutesy gifts for a while because the expenses add up, but now I miss doing that for him.

He and I were debating which wedding photo to have made into a canvas. I thought maybe for Valentine's I would go ahead and get the picture that he likes best. BTW the canvases come out amazing!!!

every year we go to dinner at the same place... we spent so many years apart long distance during college, that this is a little tradition that I wont give up, no matter how much we need to save the money... no gifts this year though, just dinner together at Bella Vita... yumm!!
