What are you all doing for Valentine's Day?

It falls on a Tuesday this year, so that kinda stinks. We won tickets to see Wicked that following weekend so we could always go to a nice dinner in the city and even though that would be fun, I'm kinda tired of the city/dinner thing. Does anyone else have any other creative/romantic suggestions? Are you going to exchange gifts as well? I would love it it DH got me a puppy, but I dont think he wants to right now since we are in an apartment. I have really been hinting at it and talking about puppies a lot lately! hehe

Im hoping we can go to a romantic dinner and maybe a movie...something low key since its a tues.

Id die to go to a play or away for a romantic weekend....

we're celebrating V-day on Sunday the 12th. DH proposed on 2/12/05, so it's a special day for us. we're going to the same restaurant he took me to the night we became engaged

Nothing...I can't stand the day...so DH gets off easy. He's one of the few luckiest guys in the world!

plan is to go out to dinner with another couple in the city - the other couple can be kind of "flaky" though, so who knows if it will actually happen!

i asked my dh what the day means to him. he said its a day that hallmark makes money. its like mothers day and fathers day. u should show the person how u feel throughout the yr not just on the holiday

we are going to meet my firned and her new fiancee in ct - staying for 3 days ( monday - wednesday)

Low key this year. Still saving for our wedding. Next year we will do something great for our first married Valentines Day :)

very low key this year - we're officially in saving mode. FH said he'd like to make dinner (steak and mashed potatoes) very sweet because he is far from a cook so I'm surprised he even volunteered to do this and we're setting a limit on gifts - about $20 so I'm thinking of getting him a DVD

hmmm - we really aren't planners. Probably just go out to eat someplace - or maybe just get ice cream or something. We said no presents, but I hope for a sweet card

I think we're going to the UConn game the weekend before V-Day so we'll probably celebrate it the following Saturday. We'll probably go to our favorite restaurant for dinner. If we do gifts this year, it will be something small.

just dinner- no gift for me b/c I am combining V-day with my B-day b/c there is something I want already

I am getting my Hubby a burberry tie in pink b/c he just got this great pink dress shirt

Making my hubby a Filet Mignon and Lobster tail dinner.

Staying home, and enjoying each other.

Big waste of money to go out to dinner. I will spend half of that on the ingredients for dinner, and a bottle of wine.

we are going out to dinner, and have decided to keep gifts small I need new perfume and he needs cologne so that is what we are going to exchange. Last year on valentines we got engaged in Disney so this year spending will be minimal

with a group we are taking a limo to the wineries (from CT) going to wine tasting and dinner... but we are not doing it on v-day...few weekends before

DH plus 4 friends and i are planning to have a very nice dinner at Xaviar's in piermont on Sunday, 12th of Feb. mmmmmmm!

there's plenty of fine restaurants in the city to dine in but if you happen to be in or near or piermont i highly recommend Xaviar's. the food, ambience and area is romantic as well as breath taking. and the service is impeccable. it's maybe 30mins from edgewater, nj.

We are doing a NYC Dinner Cruise...one of the yachts we looked at for our reception gave us free tickets to attend a Valentine's Dinner Cruise...and we are psyched about it!!

Gosh, we don't plan ahead for v-day. We'll probably end up going to dinner somewhere or ordering in. It's just another day in my book.

We might celebrate it over the weekend. I get out of work @ 5:30 by the time I get home it will be 6:00. I really don't want to rush around. So, I think we might just watch a movie that night and go out to a romantic Italian dinner the weekend before.

I got Fh tickets to Spamalot for xmas and it;s the weekend after V-day, so we'll go out to dinner beforehand. We decided no gifts, just cards. I hope he sticks to it. Actually I'm knitting him a scarf, but don't tell (shhhh)...

One V_day we ordered in italian and had a picnic in the living room by the fireplace. It was really romantic and a lot of fun.
