Question about buying a new Accord

is it realistic to buy a 2006 Honda Accord EX-L with a remote starter for under $25K?

if anyone here is a dealer or can refer me to a good one, that would be great!

TIA!

Re: Question about buying a new Accord

I leased my 2005 w/o a remote starter and the price was under $25K. Go onto Edmunds.com to check out the invoice price so you know how much you can negotiate.

thanks.

I went to the Honda site and their price says $25K for the car I want. I'll check out edmunds.

Re: Question about buying a new Accord

YES! I have an amazing guy, the dealer we bought our car from was by far the best one. Let me know if you want the info...our guy rocked and got us what we wanted. I highly recommend them, it's the Atlantic Honda...but go see the guy that we bought from (he's actually "honest" or as honest as car salesmen go).

We did all the research before hand online and were pleasantly surprised...

Re: Question about buying a new Accord

also when you go to negotiate just know that there are dealer incentives that could make the invoice price lower. If you get the car at invoice you've done well. Anything below that-you've done even better.

Not all dealers get dealer incentives. The bigger the dealership most likely the bigger discount.

Yea! I would like his info! thanks very much, feel free to FM it me

My sister bought her Civic from that dealer and raved about how well they treated her.

quick question... do they work with you on price at all? I have never bought a brand new foreign car before. the last new car I bought I walked into the dealer (after doing A LOT of research) and said "this is the car I want and this is what I want to pay". and I got what I wanted.

THANKS! Huntington Honda is the largest Honda dealer in the nation.... so hopefully that means I could get it at invoice price, that would be great!

Everything is negotiable. Just like you did with your car. Go in there armed with info.

Yes, what Susan said is true. The larger the better, and they're as big as it gets. But the best part is their service...seriously! And the guy we bought from was just BEYOND awesome!!

We went back for service shortly after we got the car and he waited with us and made the service team rush us through. There was a guy there raving about them because he had bought an 05 Toyota Sienna and he wanted a Honda Odyssey but no one would take his "old" car because it was new...but Huntington did it, no problem. And they threw stuff in for him he was like "they must sell so much that they don't care about "little stuff" because they totally worked with everything I said".

And yes, you can negotiate. I'll FM you when I get home...I have his card!

Sasha-we leased there too. Very happy with the overall experience. Although I am never impressed with car sales people. I lease every three years or so. I dislike Honda City, but I do get service there since it's close to my house. The service dept is very good there.

Ugh! I know what you mean! I've never had a car with 4 doors....I'm afraid! Not to mention they stopped making my car a few years ago, so when it's time for me to get a new car I won't have clue what I'm going to do. DH says I'll get his truck and he'll get a Yukon...ummm... Ok....it's great that he gets cars at a nice price, but why can't he work for Honda.

Also check the invoice price on yahoo cars and use that figure to bargain from.

LOL...I'm a dork! It's actually Atlantic Honda that we bought it from, not Huntington. We wanted to go with the latter, but the price we got at Atlantic was too good to pass up.
