NWR-Can someone recommend a good scanner.
I know absolutely nothing about these and want to ask for
one for my birthday. Any info. is appreciated.

Epson 4990 - I just bought it and the picture quality is top notch. It is about $400.
ETA: It also scans film which will be helpful when we get our negatives.
