My first reaction when I read the post was "she probably thought you're loaded because of your wedding"...that's what people assume, speaking from experience. Hence why it was "bothering her for so long".

Second...she's a loser for mentioning the amount of the gift that you and your DH gave to her daughter. The fact that she held that in for so long shows that she has very little priorities in life and I pity her.

I can't wait to read her response!

"whoa w t f is going on ????? i havent even had a computer in like 2 months or aim for that matter . im at my sisters right now and i just checked my mail .. call me tonight cause i have no idea what this is about. "

Then the 2nd email says..

"i think someone has hacked into my account and is f%*@*in with the people on my buddylist and i very well think its melissa cause im not talking to her anymore. if somone ims u from my name it isnt me !!!!!"

There she goes blaming a 3rd party... Even if this was true (which I am 97% sure this is BS)... It just goes to prove that she mentioned the amount of my gift to this Melissa chick.... So either way, she looks like a moron right now. I just cannot believe that she has the audacity to try to blame someone else for this!!!!

ok she definitly has issues going on in her life and she can't seem to get past the fact that she's jelous of you. She may have mentioned money but it can be somthing deeper.

Is she happily married? Maybe she's jelous that you are or somthing else that 's not gooing well in her life.

The fact that she can't assume ownership for her actions is really sad & childish,

i ask b/c i was single and for a long time and i never understood why people expected me to give HUGE gifts for every freakin' occassion, yet never felt the need to give me a thing.

i think that a $40 gift is quite generous and when i have kids, send us your money instead of sending it to your ungrateful friend!!!!

That is ridiculous! People can be so stupid sometimes when it comes to money. It drives me crazy when people expect more because they assume you have it to spend. grrrr!

Yes, that episode was written for me, I just know it!!!!

Seriously, how many people did I give shower gifts, e-gifts, wedding gifts, housewarming, then babies and on and on, and I didn't even notice it at the time but many of them barely acknowledged my law school graduation!!? But I guess that's okay because now I've been a lawyer for longer than their marriages lasted! I have to say that people gave me loads of stuff for my shower but I still wish I'd registered for Manolos!!!

People really need to stop trying to count other people's money. Just because she thinks you had more than $40 to give (to a child no less) does not mean you had more or that you were inclined to give more even if you did have the cash. Your finances are NONE OF HER BUSINESS and definitely not something that should be the topic of conversation with her "hacker" friend.

Talk about ungrateful
