Vendor Rave- weddingcakesonline.com
fh and I went for a cake tasting laste night at WeddingCakesOnline in the city (235 E. 25th bet. 2nd & 3rd)
the cakes were gorgeous and DELICIOUS. we tried 9 flavors, and even 2 that I don't normally like (tiramisu and black forest) we good. most flavors were out of this WORLD!
the cakes are all decorated in fondant and range in price bet. $7 and $8 per slice (depending upon the intricacy of the design and the amount of sugar flowers) I thought the price was pretty good as well (I thought it would be a lot more $$)
if you are looking for a wedding cake, I would definitely check them out. we have a few more places to see, but I definitely recommend giving them a look-see.

You don't like the WM cake? I went to a wedding there once and I really liked it. They also had this choc ice cream desert that was out of this world.

honestly I am not that crazy about it. I am a big dessert person and it needs to be more than jut the regular cake for me. not that it's not good, it's just not what I want.
like I once said to Jess (CaMacho) my cake is her tiara, or someone elses indulgence.
I do love the other desserts at the WM though.

When did you get to taste the WM cake? What didn't you like about it?

I haven't met with them, but I tasted the cake at the Fox Hollow showcase. I am hoping to get something else in lieu of the cake, but I haven't discussed it with the WM yet. we will probably do that soon.
it's not that the cake is TERRIBLE...we just wanted something a little more zsa zsa...and plus, their bakery is too far for us to travel to(Bethpage) we'd never go.

they are delivering to the WM, so I would imagine yes. I don't think they are that far apart. there IS a $100 delivery charge though, but I think that is standard.
