In need of a good rental movie to get DH mind off of things, upbeat, his Mom passed away a little under 2 weeks ago..........
Every new years, DH and I rent a movie and have a nice dinner. Any recommendations on a good movie, that is funny and upbeat... sort of along the lines of American Pie, etc. ( I am trying to get DH in a better mood, his mom just passed away, I want to get his mind off of things for a few hours.)

My parents watched the 40 year old virgin last night, don't ask me why they would rent that, and my mom it's more a guy movie and that my dad was laughing. She on the other hand didn't find it as funny as him...but your DH might get a kick out of it.

In adition to the ones mentioned, if you are looking for stupid funny movies, try Zoolander or Baseketball. If he likes Dodgeball, Wedding crashers, anchorman, he'll probably like these as well.
