do you send out thank yous for the shower seperately or after the wedding did you just write thank yous for everything? sorry dumb question

I sent seperate thank you notes for shower gifts within 2 weeks of the shower. I sent other thank you notes after the wedding for wedding gifts about 2 months after our wedding.
If we received wedding presents from people before the wedding that could not attend I tried to send them thank you notes as we recieved the gifts. If they did not come to the wedding and I had already sent them a note I did not send another after the wedding.
