NWR-Any Movie Reviews?
So..A little off subject..but thought everyone could say what they have seen recently and any reviews?
This week we saw Chronicles of Narnia-The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe...fantastic..a little long..2 1/2 hours or soo..but soo good
Tonight we saw King Kong!!! Loved it...that was even longer...3 hours..but it was the fastest three hours ever!!! Very action packed...and Adrian Brody is a hottie in it...but an outstanding movie...totally recommend it

I saw the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe last night... I loved it! I've read the books over and over again, and I was pretty pleased with how faithful it was to the books, although obviously some things were reduced or cut out, and other things were added or expanded... but it was relatively tastefully done. I actually didn't feel it was too long at all, and I usually get kind of squirmy in long movies.
other than that... saw Harry Potter a few weeks ago, that was good, although, like with the 3rd one, I didn't necessarily like what they chose to cut out or emphasize.
And I know pretty much nobody cares about this one, but I also saw Pride and Prejudice a few weeks ago and was really pleased with it. (and I'm an English major and huge Jane Austen fan) They definitely did a few additions and subtractions that I really didn't think were so great, but I think overall they captured the right feeling and tone.
those are my reviews for now... I'll let you know if I see anything else! I'm on break from school for a few weeks, so I'll have lots of free time for movies.

King Kong was great! We loved it! I didn't even have to go out to the ladies room once in 3 hours (which is a miracle)

I saw the Family Stone on Friday, it was great, it had the perfect mix of comedy and drama, I would definitely recommend it, FH and I are going to try to see Walk the Line and King Kong this week

No...There is one war scene at the end..but its like ten minutes.....The movie is outstanding!!

oh athena...narnia has ONE war scene..at the END..and it isn't even that long...you're horrible..and its a little similar to lord of the rings only because the two authors were like best friends!..you must see it! as a future teacher its a requirement!!!

I saw the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - opening night .. I couldnt wait to see it!! I didnt think it was long, and it was my 3rd tim reading the book (it was a childhood favorite). I think the movie was AWESOME!! I wasn't that dissapointed with the addded things, but other things they could have included that were in the book (like all the prophecies).
I also saw Rent .. and i liked it ... it was good!

OK OK you guys talked me into it- I thought it was a war like movie thats why I didnt want to see it! and Kamille you are sooo right as a future teacher I really should be going to see the movie!!! Bad Athena! 
Nina, Im not a LOTR fan either- During the movie I left FH and started talking to the popcorn guy outside for like 15 minutes!!
