NWR: Best Friend got job offer in ATL

I feel so sad! I know that they will most likely take it-I just HATE to think that they will be living so far away!! I want to be happy for them but it is SOOOO hard not to be selfish.

ARRRGGGHHH why does the South have to be so affordable to live in

That's why I live down here! I'm sorry your friend is leaving you! It's never easy leaving friends or family, believe me!!!! She'll miss you just as much as you miss her. You'll just have to talk on the phone all the time like I do with my friends. Just think though, in the winter when everyone is freezing their tukas off in NY, you'll have a place to go in ATL, where the sun always shines (well, except for yesterday...lol)

Thanks I lived in NC for 15 years so I totally understand wanting to move down there. It just SUUUUCCCCCKKKKKSSSSS! (for me)

i lived in the carolinas for 5 yrs. and the cost of living is so much more affordable! but that stinks about your BF moving down there...it's like you are happy for her...but sad at the same time.

that's how my friends in Myrtle Beach felt when I moved back to NY almost 4 yrs. ago. My best friend/old roommate lives in West Virginia now, and we have the phone--but it's just not the same. I feel your pain!

I moved to Los Angeles this year because FI was offered a transfer (with a great compensation package) and I miss my family and friends sooooooooo much.
My BF was so upset that I was leaving her, but I still had to think about my future.

I moved down south as well (NC) from long island and it was the BEST decision I ever made. DO I miss my friends and family, definitely but it was such a good move for me. I will be able to buy a house of my own after the wedding, i would NEVER have been able to do that in LI.

I'm sorry your friend will be far! But think, you can always visit!

DH and I are also moving to Atl...it makes no sense to stay here and we want a house and kids...all things that are very complicated in NY.

I'm sure she'll still be willing to plan with you!

I understand!! With the phone, IM and myspace you can keep in touch better today than ever, and snail mail is fun to get too. Gives you a reason to go down South to visit! It'll be OK!
