What are the best Hawaii travel books for things "off the beaten path" and not super touristy?

Well there's quite a few...
frommers (they have an online website at www.frommers.com)
fodors (www.fodors.com) Click on Talk and the U.S. and then Hawaii. you can chat with others who have been.
www.tripadvisor.com (awesome forum section w/people who have been and Hawaii experts)
I'm sure you'll hear this a few times, but there's the Revealed books, which are always good.

The *BEST* Hawaii books are a series called:
Revealed.
We used Maui Revealed and it was amazing. They have one for each island and it is definitely worth for off the beaten path kind of things to do and restaurants. Great/honest reviews and fun stuff to do.
