I thought it might be fun...

I thought it would be fun if we all posted pictures of our furry/scaley/slimey/shell-covered/whatever friends... Any kind of pet you've got! I love seeing cute animal pictures, and I'm sure we can all always use something to smile about!

(yeah, I'm a freakish animal lover... it's fine.)

Ok, here's mine... many of you will recognize the first two, my bunnies Fitz (they gray one) and Lizzy (the cream/tan one).

After them is my turtles, Mosie (on the bottom) and Buddy (with the red stripe on his head).

Next is Jeff's bearded dragon, Merlin

After Merlin is my first (and favorite) cat, Tigger.

And more in the next reply... this is going to take a few!

Ok, here are our other two cats, first, the gray Maine Coon is Gwen. The white one is Lilac (technically she's my sister's cat). She's shy, so it's hard to get a good picture of her.

Then, my dog, Beau. (posing with the portrait I made of him for Halloween)

And my dearly departed darlings... My angels. I miss them both terribly.

First, our dog Teddy, my first real pet (my dad had a dog who died when I was 4 or 5, but I hardly knew her or remember her. Other than her there were only fish, who weren't really pets.) She was Beau's sister, but a year older (same mother, different fathers, different litters). We had to put her down a few months ago, she had bone cancer.
I wish I had pictures of her as a puppy. She was so beautiful.

And Ally... my Ally. My first pet that was completely mine. My angel. She was an anniversary gift from Jeff my junior year of college when I was lonely and unhappy and needed something furry to love. I had her 6 months, unknown to me and to her previous owner, she had advanced uterine cancer (a highly common and highly preventable problem in female rabbits). She was my saving grace.
(if you're curious, that's an apricot in her mouth. She loved them. She'd get cranky if she didn't get one every day. I don't feel Fitz and Lizzy apricots... they're just hers.)

so, those are my babies. That's not even counting the fish and strays outside that my mom has basically adopted.

I want to see all of yours!

Kismet your dog is so cute. I have no animals though FH wants a Bull DOg so bad. That may be his wedding gift.
