I am so sorry, like yours, my Grandpa was a big time smoker as well, and he passed away in 96 due to a blood clot that traveled to his lung due to smoking, you are in my thoughts and prayers!!!

I am so very sorry for your loss. My grandfather died 2 years ago and although he was sick for many years, it still hit me like a ton of bricks. He'll be still there with you, watching down on the joyful moments in the present and the future and smiling.
I'm sure I can speak for everyone when I say you are in all our thoughts!

unfortunately that's a lost cause. my father's had prostate cancer before and still smokes. plus i don't speak to him.
my sister had a long talk with my grandpa about smoking and she swore she would quit and she did for a few months. but she's back to it.
it's absolute stupidity. i don't care how cool you think it is or how addicted you are, quitting is a necessity. for the sake of your family it is a necessity. it's disgusting, it smells, it makes your teeth yellow and it KILLS. i am so angry more than anything right now because the fact of the matter is---if he didn't smoke he'd be here right now. plain and simple.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My grandfather died of lung cancer before I was born and it always hurt so bad because I never got to meet him, and I would have if it wasn't for the cigarettes. My FH's mother smokes, and I pray that she quits so that she can see her grandchildren grow up!!
