First same-sex married couple splits up!!!
This is too bad... I remember this case - I actually was moving to Vermont right around the time when this happened - the whole state was split up into all different teams...

Actually I know gays and lesbians who have been in long term relationships and would have benfited if there were able to have divorses, because the relationship went bad and the couple would fight over kids, money, land, and so on. One very sad case, the two women became lovers, and one had a very small child, they were together for ten yrs and they split up and birth mother of the woman wouldn't let the other woman see the child. Mind she raised the kid with her, and the girl called mama as well.
Now with legal marriage, there will be legal protection and arrangements.

Sad news and won't help the cause for gay marriage  It's a shame but happens! Can't put the burden of the cause on their shoulders tho!
