I decided a long time ago that I would have hand calligraphy done for my invitations come hell or high water. Knowing it would cost more than other alternatives, I began pricing various vendors as well as requested samples.
I walked into the Wedding Company in Manhasset on a lark just as I was passing through the gown stores on either side of it (Manhasset Bridal Couture and The Wedding Salon of Manhasset). I happened to ask about HAND calligraphy. It was something I wanted and my wedding would certainly be the only time I could justify having hand calligraphy on an invitation. Thinking they were going to charge an arm and a leg because of their location and the community they serve, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it would only cost $2.75 per 2 envelope set (inner and outer envelopes). I saw samples and loved them. I scheduled an appointment and brought in my envelopes with a sample of my invite for the calligrapher to match the typeface. I am very pleased!

That looks awesome! I'm so sorry that my calligrapher vanished off the face of the earth, though. She did a great job and was CHEAP

I am truly pleased. If I hear one more person say "Why do you need to spend $$$ on that when you are just gonna throw the envelope away?" I have a new answer but I am too much of a lady to say it here. Or am I?
