Inner Envelope question

How are you all addressing these? I know the "proper" way to do it is to put Mr. & Mrs. Smith. But for someone who you are close to, like a sister or Aunt or friend, did you put Aunt Mary, etc.?

Just wondering what others did.

Re: Inner Envelope question

I used Mr. and Mrs. but I think you can do whatever you like. As with anything, it's you're wedding, do what you want.

Re: Inner Envelope question

I only did Mr. and Mrs. for friends of my parents whom I don't really know. We had Aunt Carol or Dave or whatever. It's just warmer that way.

Re: Inner Envelope question

I'm not sure. I may just address the inner envelopes for the people that have kids so they know not to bring them (ex Mr and Mrs John Smith)

Re: Inner Envelope question

The outer envelope is supposed to be the Mr. and Mrs Jones or The Jones Family. Or for a single friend 'Miss Jones'

The inner envelope is supposed to be exactly who you are inviting. (ie: John and Mary Jones or John, Mary, John Jr. and Sherry) If it's a single friend with guest, this is where you write guest 'Mary Jones and guest'. Hope this helps.
