ANYONE WANT A KITTEN/KITTENS?!?!?!?

Well we have a stray in our garage, just found her on Saturday.. along with 4 or 5 kittens. They are sooooOooOoo incredibly cute but we cant keep any of them. We have been feeding them and they seem friendly (although they arent letting us get too close to them yet). If you know of anyone that might be interested PLEASE let me know. It breaks my heart that the weather is starting to get cold!! Here are a few pics I have been able to take of them. The big one is the mommy.

Could you take them to Little shelter in Long island??

Please have them vetted and fixed. Kittens can reproduce as early as 5 months. The suffolk spca offers free spaying. Try calling them about that. if you can find them a home, please charge a fee(60.00). and check references(home, vet personal). THere are too many crazy people out there. Never give a cat away for free!!

Charge them a fee??? There are so many stray cats that someone willing to take them into their home and get them out of the cold, is doing a good deed, Why would she make money off of it?

Yes, true, there are "psycho"s out there, but chances are they won't go to someone to adopt a pet to be cruel, they can get a cat ANYWHERE if that is their M.O. Plus, I don't really think a $60. fee would "prove" that they're not a psycho.

But I do agree with the Spay/Nutering, that is a GOOD thing.

PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE:

Get these kittens spayed/neutered. They are going to start reproducing like crazy, and many of the babies will freeze to death this winter.

Get in touch with your local shelter and they may be able to offer you some advice or contacts that can help with the spay neuter.

And yes, charge at least a $25 fee per kitten. Otherwise, those kittens could end up sold to a lab where they will be tested on in the most inhumane and cruel ways. Bunchers look through "free" ads to find free animals that they then sell for $25-50 a head to labs, dog fight rings, etc (anyone at the "auctions" who'll buy).

This is a multi-million dollar business, and with all of the labs on LI and in NJ, our area is notorious for it.

make sure that if you take them to the shelter that they have a no-kill policy... there were a few kittens i found too, and broght them the North Shore animal league. they wouldnt take them in because no one could get close to them, so they said that they would have to bring them to the shelter to be euthanised, or they would fix them, and let go back to their mama... i was NOT about to kill these adorable kittens, its not their fault that they dont like people!! sometimes I dont blame animals for not liking certain humans! ahaah

My FH cousin volunteers with an organization called PAWS. FM me if you need info... as for giving cats away for free or for money - PAWS requires a donation and the potential owners are screened... Plus they can assist with the spaying and nutering that may not cost you anything...

Please know that others have been correct... some people are crazy... so many cats are mistreated...

I have 5 cats and they are all rescues... yes, great animals, wonderful pets - the most loving creatures in the world, that were treated terribly by previous owners rescued by PAWS and similar organizations... one of my cats even has broken teeth - we think her abuse extended to being kicked, she's a black cat and they are most likely to be abused, but weak, insecure people will harm anything they can overpower. Please be careful and email me if you need more info...
