Time in between church and reception

Hi girls...

I hear a lot about girls being worried there is too MUCH time in between their ceremony and reception, and I'm a little worried there is too LITTLE. My mass is at 11 in Patchogue and the reception is at 1 in Smithtown. I know some of my OOT guests will have to get back to the hotel and onto the shuttle. Will there be enough time? Did anyone else have this short of time in between? I really want to make at least a little of the cocktail hour, although I'm not sure we will with all the photos. Why am I worried about every little thing -- I'm driving FH nuts!

Re: Time in between church and reception

My church is at 3 and the CH starts at 7. At first my FH didn't care if we saw each other before but now he wants to wait. It's ok by me if not everyone wants to come to the church. IT's my day and I'm not missing my CH

My church is at 2:30 and cocktail hour starts at 6:00 - You need to allow yourself enough time in between for pics and traveling.

Re: Time in between church and reception

im in a similar situation....church 11am (no mass), cocktail hour begins at 12:30. I know someone who had this same schedule and everything worked out just fine. I have to admit I do get a bit nervous about it sometimes though
