BM Dresses: RK Bridal, Netbride or Gownfind?

Hi Girls!! All of these vendors are price competitive, so I would like to order my bridesmaids dresses from the one with the best reputation. What do you all think?

Also, for those of you who ordered dresses online, where did you get them altered?

I LOVED Netbride.com

My Cousin/MOH is a seemstress so she altered her own dress.
My BM brought her dress to a guy she normally uses for alterations...just a regular tailor.

They looked GREAT!

gownfind.com Phyllis will do the alterations. She works from her house.

according to RK Bridal's site, they'll beat online prices by 5%... and online had better prices than RK bridal for the same dress (~$50 cheaper online!)... so i think i'd rather order through a store than online, but will price match hopefully! :)

Gownfind is a local company (based in East Northport). The owner, Phyllis, does alterations too (in case that is a consideration for your bridesmaids). I ordered my wedding dress thru her and had her do the alterations as well.

I ordered through Phyllis at Gownfind as well & she's been great so far. It was also a big bonus that she did the alterations (which she caps)

My girls wore different styles from the same designer. 2 bought them from netbride, and 2 from RK. No one had a problem at all.

I used RK for everything. My dress, BMs and MOB. Nobody had problems, and they are super accomodating.

I think I may use RK Bridal as well - the mail order way so they will match a price and give an extra 5% off. Did you just fill out the form and then when they come in can I pick them up instead of them mailing?? Any info you have would be helpful.

I used Netbride. They worked out to be less then RK with shipping and tax.
They were great, and all the dresses were in 1 month early.

Alterations are a different story. They kind of went all over but 2 used a guy in Huntington Village (Marios) I would highly recommend NOT going to him. I had problems with my rehearsal dress leaving me with 6 days to find a new dress. FM if you want details

He also fouled up one of my BM dresses so bad we fought with the lady there for an hour, between her incredibly rude comments. And I mean RUDE!!!! She eventually fixed the dress so it looked ok but what was supposed to be $30 turned out to be $75!!

Thank god I got the dresses for $100 or I would have felt really bad!

I am going to use Gownfind Phyliss is so nice and she also is straight forward with you.

The brand of the wedding gown I want she warned me that sometimes their dresses don't come in right. Bedding could be differ, for bm's colors, etc. She said it's only a 10% chance but it's still there and she is dealing with an issue now from the same vendor.
