(RP) NWR: So sad and I need your help! UPDATED
My dad was at his friend's house this afternoon helping with some household repairs. While he was there they let their shitzugh (sp?) dog out...and then she disappeared!!! They thought that she might have gotten out, even though she hasnt gotten out in like 9 years. So my dad's friend combed the backyard and didnt find any way that she might have dug herself out...so they think that she may have been STOLEN!!!! They are going to post signs in the morning. I think that IF she was stolen that maybe someone will turn her in if they offer money...people get desperate around the holidays.
Anyway, if you live near Morris Ave in the Ronkonkoma area and you see a shitzugh walking around take him and FM me PLEASE!! Her name is Pandora
Has anyone heard of someone stealing a dog from someone's backyard!!?

UPDATE: THEY FOUND PANDORA!!!! A person from the block over saw her walking around and they brought her to the pound. My dad's friend called the pound and they picked her up today!!! They dont know how she got out, but at least she is home now!

That's terrible! A friend of my brother's who was in NY from Michigan actually had her dog stolen and held for ransom...can you believe that? THey had to get the cops involved it goes to show some people are total creeps.

Someone stole my dog from my backyard when I was little. My parent thought it was our neighbor b/c she didn't like dogs, but we couldn't prove anything.
I will never let Bella out of my sight now!!!

OMG - that is so sad. I heard about that - they steal dogs to either sell to other people or god-forbid to labs for testing 
To me that is horrendous - and those people need to be treated harshly under the law (animal welfare laws are so lacking )
