How many months before your wedding did you book your HM?
I think I should be booking soon, but I wanted to wait till FH and I closed on our house.

We booked our cruise in September - 13 months out, but don't have air yet because you can't book that more than a year in advance.

I hate to say it, but he is right. Many places offer steep discounts the closer to the time you book b/c they have a lot of vacancies available at the last minute! Try travelzoo.com! They have amazing last minute deals. Also, cheapcaribbean.com has amazing prices!!! Good luck!! Me personally, I am too anal retentive to wait to the last minute to book my honeymoon!

It's true and it's not true.
You can get a good deal close to the wedding, however you will have to be flexible on where you want to go because some places may be sold out. (I know some places were already sold out for May when I started checking back in August!!!)
We booked ours this week, and we have 5 months left, so take that for what it's worth.

The only thing I would be afraid of is the airfare. It keeps going up! We booked at the end of August (a little more than 6 months before) - we watched the airfare and booked the second we saw a good price. The cost of the hotel at Disney and the cruise were not changing, but the airfare fluctuated a lot. We checked Song and JetBlue twice a day until we found the price we wanted.

I told FH flat out that if he dawdled any longer on the HM issue, that he would have to live with himself for every anniversary knowing that he messed up and that I would NOT want my honeymoon memories to be in Colonial Williamsburg in the dead of winter because that would be all that was available to us. I also reminded him of what happened when my BIL forgot my sister's first Mother's Day - she now gets KILLER jewelry each and every year because of this major screw-up. We can't afford major jewelry every year for the rest of our lives so it was cost effective for him to just get his arse in gear and book.

we are getting ready to book our now, with 9 months to go. popular places book up fairly quickly, so for the best selection it may be worth it to book sooner. also, my TA said he would keep an eye on the airfare to see if it gets any cheaper. so you don't necessarily have to wait until the last minute.

Am I in trouble? We can't take our HM til August, and we can't make any plans until FH gets a new job (he was laid off, but interviewed somewhere on Friday and things look good)
Hwe will only get 1 wk vacation at this job, and wanted 2 wks, so we aren't sure what is going to be happening! We will have to book more or less last minute when things get firmed up - is that bad????

We (he) still have not yet booked a honeymoon know where we want to go!
It's kind of difficult aswell because I'm moving to England and I have to get my settlement visa at around the same time. So we will see. We probably will do something in Europe, but since I will be living there im sure we will be doing many weekend holidays. He wants to go to Australia and since it will be winter there when we get married we might wait the six months when its winter in England and go. It's also a 24 hour trip from England so he wants to stop off at Thailand too.
ugh!1 how come his tasks never get completed. He only has three tasks with this wedding - the honeymoon, the website, and to show up, and he is taking his sweet arse time with all three!
