Repost from BHB - Veteran's Day
Many of us are home today from work in because of Veteran's Day - a day that honors the men and women in military service who served to ensure the protection of our rights as Americans. As the daughter of a World War II veteran who was EXTREMELY proud of his service, I would like to thank the people who have (and continue to) put themselves on the line to secure the freedoms and lives of our American citizens. I have much respect for all of you. G-d bless America!

Beautifully said. My father was in the military as well.  God Bless all of the soldiers, past and present, and thank you for protecting us.

I have to say i am very jealous of that pic! Last time FH came home it was 10 pm and I was there w/another wife that let me follow her there so i didnt know anyone (FIL's werent there ?!?!) But i do have a pic of him in my head the second i saw him and what he said "Hey Baby" .. i can not tell you how much i am looking fwd to his home coming!!! ( i am sure you know!) I really dont know if anything can top it!

YEA deparatures are the worst part of the miltary and homecomings are the best
