Invitation wording for time of day. Please help.
My ceremony is at 5:30 and CH is at 6:00pm on 09/16/06. It will still be daylight out, because in September it doesnt get dark that early.
Would you word the invitation as: five-thirty in the afternoon or five-thirty in the evening?????
I am leaning toward "in the evening"...but need advice.
TIA!

My vote would be evening, although I think it could go either way!

Re: Invitation wording for time of day. Please help.
5:30 is definately an evening time. Anything from 5pm - 8pm should be classified as Evening, no matter if the sun is up or not. In July and August the sun is out until 8pm or so, but you wouldnt want to say 730 in the afternoon just because the sun was still up. JMO

hi date twin!
definitely 5:30 is evening no matter how light it is outside.
Anything after 3 pm is considered evening.

Thanks everyone! I am going with "in the evening".
Woo Hoo...now I get to order my invites.
I love getting things off the "to do list" nice and early!

Re: Invitation wording for time of day. Please help.
When I ordered my invites, the woman I ordered them through told me to just put "half past five o'clock" nothing more. It's actually considered afternoon and not evening.
