Question for girls staying at a hotel on wedding night

This may be a stupid question but I'm confused as to how this works...

I see a lot of girls are staying at at hotel on their wedding night. If your aren't going on your HM right away do you check out the next morning and go home?

I just don't see it making sense for us. Our reception is over at 11:30 by the time we check in it would probably be 12:30...would be just check out the next morning? What are you girls doing? TIA.

I did this, and just booked the honeymoon suite for the next night. We kept our stuff in the trunk of our car, which we just left in the parking lot the whole day

We're staying at the hotel because our reception is in Suffolk, but our apartment is in Brooklyn, so we really have no choice.

We are staying at a hotel not far from the reception on our wedding night. Most places have late check out..Ours in 1 or 2. We may have a brunch there the next day...Not sure yet

I think we have a late check out. Also a lot of OOT guests are actually staying over the night of the wedding because they don't want a long drive home. So we will probably have brunch with them the next day, run whatever errands we have to run, then go home and sleep before the HM.

we are staying at a hotel, but we are leaving the day after the wedding for the HM. we have a noon flight so we will check out and go right to the airport, one of our parents will come to take all of our stuff (dress, tux etc.) home.

Our wedding isn't over until 1:00 AM but we are staying in a hotel because we are planning on having a brunch there the next day.

I'm also from brooklyn, and my reception is not over until 12am, this way we don't have to travel all the way back to brooklyn, our hotel also offered us a late check out 2pm. We are not leaving right away for our honeymoon, it's just nice to stay some where different for our wedding night.

We're staying at the same hotel as out OOT guests. That way we can continue the party (and I want to wear my dress as long as it humanly possible!!) We probably won't leave for our HM until Tuesday so we will go home and do last minute errands then head out.

We are booked for sunday night as well so that we have a day after the wedding before the honeymoon to relax, see out of town guests, enjoy the amenities and then be refreshed to jump on a plane monday morning :)

Our reception was on a Sunday at the North Ritz and we were leaving Monday afternoon for the honeymoon.

We stayed at Oheka castle on our wedding night because we wanted to stay somewhere special and our apartment wasnt fully ready yet.

The next morning we left Oheka at 11:30 or so - we had the limo company pick us up and take us to our apartment.

We are staying at the hotel and my parents are driving us back to Brooklyn the next day.

We leave for our honeymoon the Monday after.

we are staying in a hotel the night of the wedding(sat) and chcking out at noon the next day and having brunch, then going home and getting ready for the honeymoon.. i wanted a day in between to relax

oh, and we plan on leaving our car there the whole day on sat. so we can drive home the next afternoon

We're staying overnight, and then heading home the next day which isn't very far from the reception site. That way we can chill a bit, make sure everything we need is packed and ready to go. Also, since the girls will be getting ready by me, it will give me a chance to go home and straighten anything that needs to be done.

We are getting married on a Monday (holiday weekend), so I am staying in the hotel Sunday night with some of my BM's. East Wind gives you a room the night of your wedding, so then we can stay there after.

i just feel like coming back to our apt is so everyday ordinary so we are going to a hotel. (but were also leaving for HM next day so well be closer to jfk)

staying at the chateau briand we get a free honeymoon suite at fox hollow so thats why we are staying there. that night

We are doing brunch the next day with all of our OOT guests at the hotel. Then I imagine we will go home and sleep!

We aren't leaving for our HM for at least 10 days so we may plan a little something in between.
