HELP!! Pre Cana Question!!
I am Catholic and my FI is Methodist... we want to have one ceremony with both officiants there... but i heard we HAVE TO do pre cana if I want anyone from the Catholic Church there!
IS THIS TRUE??????? Is there any way we can have a Catholic Officiant without pre cana??
ALSO.... we may not do it in a Catholic church... we may do a neutral or Methodist church..
HELP!!

Re: HELP!! Pre Cana Question!!
I am pretty sure you have to do Pre-Cana if you want a Catholic priest to concelebrate. If you are getting married in the Methodist Church, you might be able to get dispensation for an interfaith service. Your parish should be able to guide you in this.

Re: HELP!! Pre Cana Question!!
If you want your marriage to be recognized by the RC Church, I am pretty sure they will require you to participate in Pre-Cana, no matter who the main officiant will be.
But definitely go speak to your Priest since he is the only one who can really answer these questions. Good Luck.

that thread has some info on if you can get married outside the church. i *think* you can get married if it is interfaith.
as for pre cana it has to be done.
