NWR - OMG I came home today .....
and there was a dead bird in my living room!!!! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! I freaked out, I'm very sensitive about death whether it's a person, animal, even an insect.... and FH is terrified of birds! So we had an arguement over who was getting rid of it. And of course, he was still at work.
I ended up having to get rid of it. I think it came from the attic. Our attic door can just be pushed open b/c the latch doesn't work and the cat likes to explore in there (NO MORE OF THAT THOUGH). There were feathers at the top of the stairs by the attic door, so somehow it got into the attic and my cat must have caught it and used it as her play toy finally ending up downstairs in the living room.
FH is soooooooooooo freaked I know he's not going to sleep tonight thinking there are birds in the attic.

Re: NWR - OMG I came home today .....
Now that I think of it, it is rather funny. It made think...this is the first of many arguements just like this one! We live in a pretty big house and there's always little critters running around the patio, backyard and driveway.
It took me a few minutes to realize what it was that was lying there in my living room (on my white carpet I might add!) I even called one of my co-workers, husband (they live around the corner from us) and left this hysterical message (lord only knows what they thought of that message!) I called them back laughing hysterically and apologizing for the stupidest message they probably ever heard!

Ohh... that too! I had 6 boxes on my front porch from fortunoff's and williams sonoma!!! Waiting for FH to come home to open them.
My cat is female, and I'm actually rather impressed that her hunting skills are so good because she's strictly an indoor cat and has never killed anything before.

My cat is an indoor cat too, and he also kills anything that gets in. One morning he brought me a present when my back was turned--a mouse. But he has all those mouse toys lying on the floor so I though t it was one of those. Then I looked close and saw this mouse had arms, and his toys don't! I know how you feel...getting rid of bodies is icky

Re: NWR - OMG I came home today .....
I got a bird for my little brother from the pet store and it died two weeks later. I woke up to see the dead bird in the cage. It freaked me out!!!!!! It looked like a cartoon bird with the x's over the eyes to symbolize it was dead. Very freaky!!!! I totally understand!

Re: NWR - OMG I came home today .....
FH is sooooooooooooo freaked out over this. He has such a terrifying phobia about birds. Everytime he heard a noise in the house this week, he was convinced it was an "evil" bird
