UPDATE ON PAGE 3 - I spoke to her - What to do when someone is not invited with a guest and responds that they are bringing one!!!
I approached the "evil" girl in my office today about her RSVP - (after I left her a phone message about it on Friday) and she played it off like she didn't get my message. LIAR!!!!! (FYI 0 approached the other one on Friday and she completly understood...)
Anyway, I said my peace to the evil one - I told her what she did by just "assuming" that she could just bring a guest was hurtful and disrespectful and that FH and I don't know at this point if we can accomodate her w/her guest.
Long story short - it was a long conversation - she was complelty taken back by my forwardness - which was great. She got all teary eyed and I told her not to get upset and worry about it - because I sure as hell am not.
I put my foot down for once with this girl and put her back in her place. Ughhh, I feel so great right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: UPDATE ON PAGE 3 - What to do when someone is not invited with a guest and responds that they are bringing one!!!
be prepared for her to not show up.
I had something similar happen. A guest RSVPd for 1. Then, a week before the wedding, she called and asked if she could bring a guest because she "JUST started seeing someone".
It was waaay too late at that point to add on her guest.
She no showed. But, even better, she PRETENDED to be at the wedding. Her mom took her placecard. Her sister signed her name in the guest book and dropped a card for us in the gift box. But, I received confirmation from others that this person did not attend.

OMG--how ridiculous. I would have to call her out on it & let her know the I knew she wasn't there.

That is bizarre behavior - moreso of her family than herself.
and GOOD FOR YOU for standing your ground! I flat out TOLD single people at work - NO guests. They were fine with it.

I know, I already thought about that! Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do - and I refuse to sit here and worry about her doing that. She's a malicious person, so I wouldn't put it past her!

they thought they could get away with it because she's a twin. The twin is the one who signed the book and dropped the card in the gift box. The part that upset me the MOST was that for the family portrait, the mother left all of her children out of the picture. I think she did that so the 1 daughter wouldn't get "caught" after my proofs came back.

I'm sorry, but that is downright hysterical that they thought they'd get away with it. You need to tell them that the whole twin-switching thing only works in Sweet Valley High books. People kill me.

LMAO Sweet Valley High Books!!! I have not thought about that in so many years, but now I am hysterical laughing thinking about the Sweet Valley Twins trying to cause hijinks at your wedding!
