We are going to a Sandals resort because they have a hurricane gaurantee. If there is a storm at any point in our vacation, we get either 100% reimbursed, or the same exact vacation for free.

Hawaii for 2 weeks. In the middle of July there should not be a high frequency of hurricanes, but if you are considering the carribean you can completely avoid a direct hit by going to Aruba.

Jenn Renee -- honeymoons
Just wanted to share this...My brother and sister-in-laws went to Sandals antigua two year ago(as did we for our honeymoon 2 weeks ago). On the last day of their vacation, Sandals requested that everyone leave because of a hurricane heading right for the island. They, of course, did and received another entire week at any Sandals they chose. They went several months later to Sandals, Bahamas. A whole free vacation just because they missed one day of their honeymoon. Cant beat that hurricane Guarantee policy!! Good choice! HAve a great time!

Off to St. Lucia!!
We were almost going to wait till Feb. We we decided to go away after our wedding in August. We are going to St. Lucia. We were told that St. Lucia is south in the carribbean, and hurricanes usually pass , but we will keep our fingers crossed!!

Aruba - August
We're going to Aruba although we would've gone to the Greek Isles if we could afford it. I had been told Aruba was the safest and had lots to do, great beaches, etc. However, I've been warned that it will be HoT and the sun will be very very strong. So, I'm working on my tan now.
