Signature Florists or Flowers by Burton???

Help! I got the exact same quote from both florists but I don't know who to choose. With Burtons I get to keep the glass vases for the tall CP's but I liked George's ideas and quality. What do I do????

I was going to let the guests take home the CP's. Ya know, do the little dollar game or something and someone at the table gets to take it home. I guess your right though. What will they do with the vases, they're pretty big and heavy.

I would say Burton... what happens if people take the CPs home? Do you get stuck paying for the vases?

With Signature, guests can still take CP's, they just can't take the vase. George would have the flowers sitting on top of the vase and you can detach the flowers and take them home, while Burton's would have the stems actually going into the vases so you would have no choice but to take the vases home. What to do, what to do!?!?

My florist is doing the same - allowing the top part to come off and folks can take it home, and the next day they will come back to pick up the vase/pedestal.

Honestly, I think ideas/quality weighs a lot more than taking a piece of glass home.

You should also be able to supply signature with a vase if you want the guests to take them home. I hear Ikea usually have sales on the tall ones for about 5 dollars.

I agree. I would definitely go the quality and creativity route, but if you are really concerned about the guests taking home the vase, you can source one and supply it to George and he can come up with a great centerpiece with it!

for these exact reasons, I am supplying George with all of my hardware. he is providing flowers and set up of everything.

I bought my julep cups at Jamali Gardens and I am in the process of buying my hurricane wrought iron candle holders from Bed Bath. that is always an option.

I was just thinking the same thing. He didn't say anything about not being able to keep them.

When i was there yesterday, George said the vases are just rentals. You can take the flowers after but he picks up the vases. You may want to double check with him.

Did you have the small vases? I'll have to call him up. I didn't realize this. How are my guests supposed to bring home the flowers without vases?
