Okay, I know today's theme is airing dirty laundry, but I need a mini vent.
I am ever so slightly annoyed wit my MOH. About a month and a half ago, I contacted everyone and found out when we could get together to order dresses. Since two of my BM were coming from MD, I wanted to make a nice weekend out of it and also go to a show. My MOH said she could come to order dresses but she was too busy in September and October with school and work to go to the show. Okay, no problem. November is my busy month, so I understand. Fast forward to today, when I email her that my FILs wanted celebrate one of my BMs birthdays (their neice) by taking us and the rest of the close family out to lunch at a nice Italian restaurant. She replies back that she can't make it to lunch because she's meeting up with her boyfriend after the dresses. So she was so busy with school work a month ago that she could predict that she couldn't make it to the broadway show. But, now she's not busy and has plans with her boyfriend? She's my MOH, and we are supposed to be close. She could have just told me if she didn't want to go to the show, instead of making up some excuse that she messed up later anyways

That stinks! Your MOH should not have lied to you  and now it's worse because you caught her.  I am sorry she is acting this way. I would talk to her and let her know you understood about the school work (when you thought it was for real) but why would she make up a story like that when you and your other BM's are coming from MD?

I don't think she necessarily meant to lie, but I think she just gave a stock excuse that you give when you don't really want to do something. So you say you're really busy even though you may not be all that busy. But I did talk to her a little while ago and she said that she hadn't seen her boyfriend in a month because she's been so busy. So I'm not sure...I guess I'm just a little disappointed that she is choosing her boyfriend over someone out of state who she doens't get to see all the time.
