I can't stop thinking about this cat I saw at Petco in Lake Grove....

He has been there for probably over a month now, at least. How can i convince my hubby with us moving in less then 3 weeks, to adopt him? I just feel so bad for him. I know it sounds silly

Your moving shouldn't affect him at all...I can't see why that would stop you!

That's no problem. I drive with my kitty all the time to NY (we live in MD) and it's a 5 hour drive. You can get a travel water bottle for the cat, and you can travel with a tin pan and some litter in a container in case the cat needs to relieve itself on the trip. We did this for a while before we realized that the cat was fine for the 5 hour trip without these. He never used them. But I would take them along for a longer trip. How far is the drive for your move?

I did the same... Tigger would go back and forth with me to school in Binghamton (about 4 hours).... sometimes she would stay in the carrier others sprawled out on the back seat. The trip never bothered her, she slept most of the way. I think if you can give him a great home and an abundance of love the move may not be a huge effect on him. Plus if you move in a few weeks at least its not like you are moving him from a home he has known for years, the transition might be easier.
