Rehearsal Dinner Guest Question
My FH is a groomsman in his friend's wedding in November. I cannot go to the wedding because my cousin is getting married the same day. We just got an invite in the mail addressed to both of us for the rehearsal dinner. If I'm not attending the wedding should I go to the rehearsal dinner with FH? Is it inappropriate? They don't know that I am unable to attend yet, the response was just sent back.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Guest Question
You should go. They will understand why you can't be at the wedding but should appreciate you coming to have a pre-celebration.

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Guest Question
IMO, it's not inappropriate at all. They are doing the right thing but sending the RD invites to their BP and their significant others, I don't think it matters if you are able to attend the wedding or not. Go and wish them the best!

Re: Rehearsal Dinner Guest Question
I don't see anything wrong with it! You aren't going to a baseball game or something silly. You are going to your own family members wedding. I'm sure they would be happy to have you there!

I guess I just was worried that they would think that I was along for the free dinner at the rehearsal..I'm not very close with the couple, FH has known the groom since childhood but we don't all hang out. But I put myself in their shoes and I think that I would want someone's fiance to come even if they couldn't make the wedding.
