Edited - I bought a dress for the Nov wedding - this one is more appropriate, right?
I am going crazy on ebay, etc. trying to find an appropriate dress for this Fall wedding I am going to at The Rainbow Room in NYC. I really like this Diane Von Furstenberg dress, but I think it may be a little "springy" - if I throw a wrap over this, could I get away with it at a November wedding?http://kugermilan.com/516dvfpink.jpg

I love it! However, from the pic it does look too springy. It looks almost see through.

I think you could totally get away with it with a wrap. it's gorgeous!
I have a lot of DVF stuff so I know that material. its not see through.

Try Nordstroms website. They have great dresses. I think that dress is v. pretty but is very springy/summery.

I love the dress! But the pattern is a bit springy. I like lord and taylor's evening section for cocktail dresses. I got one for my cousin's wedding last November.

It's a lovely dress, but I think it's best for a Spring/Summer wedding than a fall wedding at the Rainbow Room...sorry!

It beautiful but does look a bit "Springy" to me. I think if it had darker colors, it would be more "Fall" like. JMHO.

I just bought this dress instead for the wedding - the wedding is black tie optional....I have some great silver shoes I am planning on wearing with it - this is more appropriate than the first one I posted, right? Is there a certain color shawl / wrap that could bring more color to the dress?

Much better I think. Find out what the wedding party color(s) are/is. You don't want to match then. When you find out, go from there. You can always play it safe and get silver/grey (since you'll have silver shoes). JMO ~~Kim
