Same here - it was about 15 minutes before the invite time. I chose not to walk down the aisle though, so that would still be "special" (DH and I saw each other before the ceremony). I just sat in a chair and supervised from the back of the ceremony room

Re: Ceremony and Reception at the Same location
Yea Med Manor just said that they don't normally do that so I was confused. I guess we will just wing it that day!!! That should be an experience.

Re: Ceremony and Reception at the Same location
I wanted to - for my own sanity - but DH, BIL and my sis all vetoed me, so I just went with the flow. Worked out just fine

Re: Ceremony and Reception at the Same location
yes and it made us feel a lot better! Regardless of where the ceremony is, I think a rehearsal is important, for us anyway.

Re: Ceremony and Reception at the Same location
yes! I wanted to do it, and it's really "tradtional" to do that in my family, so we did it. It worked out well, since there were a few final things I needed to go over with the MD.

Did the hall charge you for the rehersal? How about the officiant?

Re: Ceremony and Reception at the Same location
We did, but we asked the hotel we used for our guests for a meeting room. They gave us one, free of charge, since we didn't need it long, and we booked so many rooms with them. We had our wedding at a restaurant, and they could only offer us the rooms at off-peak times, which was convenient for no one.

Re: Ceremony and Reception at the Same location
We DID, b/c I didn't want the rehersal 30 min before the ceremnony- (like the hall wanted to do)... while I was already dressed... I didn't want it to take away from the "real" cremony...

Re: Ceremony and Reception at the Same location
Our hall offers to do one 1/2 hr before ceremony. All but me will participate in that. We plan on doing one at our RD mostly for the children.

Re: Ceremony and Reception at the Same location
That is also another good suggestion. I didn't think of that. I mean I just really walk and stand, but the FG and RB need to know what to do and so does the rest of the BP.

Re: Ceremony and Reception at the Same location
Sorry to be on the 05 board.....
I am getting married at my hall.
You can do ur rehersal ANYWHERE.... someone home, a park anywhere....
I doubt if I will do it at the hall... no need to.... I might do here in my house or in my moms basement.
