We are writing our own, but will also use some of the traditional.
For example, after we say our own, the officiant will say:
Do you __ take ___ to be your wife....

FH wants us to write our own and he already kinda knows what he's gonna say!! I know how I feel but I have no idea what words to use to express that, it'll be a project for me when I finally sit down and try to figure this one out!!!

As much as I tend to have a gift for writing meaningful and sappy things, we plan on sticking to a traditional Jewish ceremony. It will be hard enough to repeat in English AND in Hebrew but to add my own vows to the mix just asks for a major flub on my part.

for the ceremony we are going traditional, but I plan on writing something for him to read while he's getting ready the day of (I'll put it in his pocket or something the day before)....I would't be able to keep it together if I read it in public.
 I would NOT be pretty!

 Now that I remembered...did any of you see the best of celebrity weddings 2005 on VH1 yesterday??? They showed Joey Fatone from NSYNC reading his vows to his wife and half-way through he LOST it... he was crying and talking in a pitch-tone voice...it was hysterical!
