NWR - Calling all Teachers - CCD
I just got the call last night that they needed a 3rd grade teacher for CCD. I'm really excited because I am going to Grad school for elementary ed and this is a great way to get familiar with making lesson plans, classroom settings etc...
Anyway, since it is so last minute (classes start next week  ) I need to come up with my first lesson plan...but the director told me that the first class should be somewhat fun and an ice breaker for the kids...whats a fun way of getting the kids to know each other???
My mind is completely blank on this...I was thinking of pairing them off and having them interview each other and then introducing their partner to the rest of the class..but I think they may be too young for this....PLEASE HELP

How about if you talked about family traditions that relate to their faith?? you can talk about holidays etc...

What is CCD?
Sorry...School of Religion...for catholic children who attend public school and their parents want them to have a knowledge of the catholic religion
