I Just Received Some Great Advice from a Bride! Had to Share!
One of the analysts I work with is getting married next Saturday and spent some time with me going over a few thing she wished someone had told her during her wedding planning.
1) Their minimum is 200, and they invited 220 people - thinking that 20% will say no, and certain that their family WILL be there. Well, she had 80 NO's...and was completely shocked. She knew who in her family was or wasn't coming, but she had no idea about her FI's family.
2) Those getting CUSTOM made INVITES: Make sure you get on your invitations EARLY. She thought 6 months was enough, but she ended up getting them about two months before the wedding and ended up having to send them out later than expected and with a close RSVP date.
3) MAKE SURE you book your REHERSAL DINNER EARLY!!!! Most especially if your wedding is on a Saturday or Sunday. A lot of restaurants that do not have private rooms available will not hold a reservation or party of that size b/c Friday & Saturday nights are their busiest night.
4) If you get your dress early, and will be hanging it up for storage, stuff the entire dress with paper to mold it perfectly to prevent from wrinkling.

Thanks Chris.. The invite one was good. I actually have a meeting in 2 weeks for mine, I am glad that I am not doing this too early. She made me feel alot better.
