I did not do mine like that but I did make my own using a transparency that I ran through my color laser printer and then I used a ribbon and rosettes to glue around so you could not see the edge. I will post pictures for you over the weekend. If you want I can make the transparencies for you and you can decorate them yourself. The candles cost me about $3 each to make.

I used vellum paper and double sided tape. It came out great - sorry, no pics though.

Re: Has anyone made their own candles with the tissue paper and hot air gun?
Yes!
They come out really nice.
What I did was I stamped images on the candles and then cut as close as you can to the image. I put alittle piece of monoadheisve to hold the piece of tissue in place. Then use my heat gun and melt the tissue paper on to the candle.
Dont hold the gun to close to the candle you will melt the candle. Go back and forth for awhile until you see the paper get a wet look. Once its all shiney it will be done.
Here is a link to a website that has plenty of samples http://gallery.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=4519
I posted one picture also as an example.
It takes a few times to practice but once you get it down its awesome!!!
Have fun!!
