Help! Booking Reception Hall this week!
Hi girls!
I'm new to this board and want to thank everyone for their warm welcomes and congratulations! This is so exciting
My FH and I looked at a few places so far and I've been lurking on the boards and checking out prices for a few months now. We are getting married Saturday afternoon 10/7/06. We fell in love with the Coral House this weekend and had a tasting with my parents on Sunday and everything was DELICIOUS. The BM seems so on top of everything and she really worked with us to get a GREAT deal (~$62pp with lots of upgrades). It seems a little "too good to be true" at the moment, and our names are in pencil holding the date for a week until we put a deposit down next weekend. I am confident that we've found our place, but I also want to continue investigating other places in that price range until we put a deposit down just to be sure that it's the best deal possible.
I don't think anyplace else can beat the quality of food and quantity for $62.... what do you think? any places you know of that are in that price range?
THANK YOU! Happy Monday!
Jennifer :)

Re: Help! Booking Reception Hall this week!
Sure, you can find a perfect place for $62pp. You can spend a lot more money and have lousy food and service.
If it feels right, you like the atmosphere, the food was good, and you are comfortable working with the BM, then I would say book it.
I spent about $40pp for my breakfast brunch wedding, and my guests RAVED about the food and service (even my mom, who is picky). Don't get sucked into the "if it costs more, it must automatically be better" cliche.
