Winter brides: what color besides red?

I was oringlaly thiking, christmas = red, but every single wedding i've been t in the past 5 years has had red gowns. So I was thinking of plum. What kinds/colors of flowers can I use to still keep it sort of holiday themed?

Re: Winter brides: what color besides red?

You could do plum, or silver, or navy, or hunter...

Depending on the dress you choose you could pull a bunch of flower combos.. let me do a search and see what I can find..

Here's a couple of plum/purple accent flowers that you may be able to use...

Re: Winter brides: what color besides red?

If you do silver, you can keep like a snowflake theme.. and totally play off of that! Good Luck, I am sure you will find the perfect combo!! Let me know If I can be more help!!

ETA: did more searching.. found a small article

Winter Wedding Flowers
Decide whether you want to go for a silver and white elegant look, or celebrate the season with reds and greens. For those who like silver, look for dusty miller, silver-dollar eucalyptus, and baby blue eucalyptus, mixed with white flowers such as roses, football mums, crocus, lilies and stephanotis. If you're looking for a brighter bouquet, consider red roses with holly and pine-tree greenery. In season flowers such as tulips, roses, and ornamental berries generally will be less expensive choices. (Talk to your florist, as your region may have different availability)

I really like silver if you don't want to go with the red theme. Navy can be nice also.

My BM gowns are navy with ivory accents, and I've been playing off the navy/ivory/white throughout my snowflake theme

I'm doing wine colored bm dresses and white flowers with silver/gold accents. I'm trying to keep it wintery but not valentines day (it's the 18th of february)
I love navy, chocolate, black for winter weddings. ( not all together )

My colors are claret (a dark-ish red) and french blue (sort of like robin's egg color).

Those are my colors. Navy blue, silver and white. They look great together. Very winterish...not Christmasy though.
