this is almost like my cake topper its by designs by dorian and she can make it any color background you like., i had her add marabou and white birch branches to mine and she even out my cake on her site

I made it!!
Me and FH were VERY surprised because I have ZERO creative talent.
I got the box at AC Moore and the wooden snowflakes there too. Then I got white and a light blue paint and mixed those together and painted the snowflakes.
I used that "snow paint" and blue glitter on the snowflakes and hot glued them to the box.
Then I sprayed the whole thing with a high gloss shellac.

Well, you proved FH wrong - it looks really awesome. I might have to attempt this - thanks for the how-to tips.

I don't have a pic, but the restoration hardware catalog has really cute snowflake votive holders - set of 3 for $29. They also have some pretty garlands and stuff too.
