Anyone been to Dominican Republic
in October? I am thinking about going to secrets excellence in punta cana and wonder if hurricanes are a threat at this time.

Hurricane season is from June 1 until November 30 every year.
But yes, I have been to the Dominican Republic, and during hurricane season, and had an amazing time. Just make sure you get travel insurance. bluesashbride HMed at Secrets...her review is up.
