Little Nervous
My mom was searching really hard for the "right" dress. She finally found it and got it in dark blue (don't know the exact name of the color but it is a little lighter than navy). When my mom got it I told FMIL what color my mom got. Well, FMIL got her dress today and guess what color it is? Midnight blue.
Is it just me? I don't have the heart to tell my mom that she also got a blue dress. Should I ask FMIL to get another color since I told her that it was blue?

Re: Little Nervous
i would tell her to get another color. You don't want both moms to be wearing the same color.

Re: Little Nervous
Thanks. That's what I thought. Even if they are different shades of blue? Does anyone know what midnight blue looks like?

Re: Little Nervous
Huh...I never heard of this one. I thought it was fine if they got the same color. I would say as long as your Mom's (both future and present) are fine with it, I'm not sure that it would be a problem. I think it would actually look pretty nice in pictures (and I can't actually think of any that they would be in together)

Re: Little Nervous
IMO, I don't think it matters if they both wear blue. it's a beautiful color and totally appropriate for November

See, that is my problem. Normally I wouldn't either. But I know that my mom would not want to wear the same color...she has expressed this more than once...which is where my problem lies.
uggg....i should have just said get what you want and don't tell me because i don't want to know.

Re: Little Nervous
Wow, see I had my mom, his mom and my 2 grandmas in silver. I had miy BMs in pink and all the men except DH in silver, DH was in white. I made it coordinate so everyone looked part of the bridal party. Perhaps that is how you could phrase it to your mom to make it more exciting.
